The 1804 United States presidential election was held from November 2 to December 5, 1804. The election was a contest between Democratic-Republican Party incumbent President Thomas Jefferson and Federalist Party candidate Charles C. Pinckney. Thomas Jefferson emerged as the winner, securing 162 electoral votes to Charles C. Pinckney’s 14 electoral votes.
