The 1904 United States presidential election was held on November 8, 1904. The election was a contest between incumbent President Theodore Roosevelt, who had taken office in 1901 after the assassination of President William McKinley, and Democratic nominee Alton B. Parker. Roosevelt secured 336 electoral votes to Parker’s 140.
