On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, a Republican special primary election was held for Utah's 2nd congressional district to replace incumbent Republican U.S. Representative Chris Stewart, who will resign from the U.S. House of Representatives on September 15, 2023. Celeste Maloy won the Republican special primary with 38.58% of the vote. Maloy will face Democrat Kathleen Riebe and other third-party candidates in the general special election on November 21, 2023.
